This is our Fique (Premium Sisal)

Fique or Premium Sisal fibers come from the Andean Regions between the green lush vegetation and tropical weather.

It is a naturally sustainable plant and has a productive life of 15 to 20 years and the leaves can be harvested 3 times a year.

Its mighty leaves are then crushed, pressed dried and rolled. This process gives birth to beautiful strong strands that are spun into yarn.

Fique from Curiti

Our Premium Sisal Fique rugs are made in Curiti (which translates to “town of weavers”) in the Guane language.  They are known as skilled artisans who safeguard and preserve the ancestral technique of fique weaving.
